Sangeetha Swara Laya, State of the art Indian Music Academy is a cultural and service oriented, organization with centres in Penang, Johor, Selangor, Pahang, Kedah and Perak. We have over the year established a vibrant rapport with the local communities and are well regarded in our respective states for the wholesome community building activities we undertake.

Today, we are a well known organization in our respective countrY MALAYSIA, recognized and respected as an institution whose primary motive is that of service and promoting arts and culture. In every center, Sangeetha Swara Laya, is well known as one of a leading Indian arts institutions with special expertise in Indian music and culture.

Sangeetha Swara Laya Music Academy has been established to develop and design state-of-the-art course-ware in Indian Music by making use of the latest technology based teaching methods buckled with innovation of highest degree. Sangeetha Swara Laya is governed by highly dedicated and qualified academia in music from India and Malaysia.

Sangeetha Swara Laya offers a portfolio of programmes in Indian Music. The mission of the SSL is to teach, perform and preserve the classical music of Indians, specifically the Mirdhangam, Tabla, Veena and Sangeetham to all who wish to learn.

The purpose of this program is to expose school-age children/students to classical Indian music and culture...

Students learn to play the classical music on the instrument of their choice, Indian or non-Indian. Cross training in raga (melody) and tala (percussion) are encouraged, though typically the student will specialize in either raga or tala.

SSL will be functioning with the same dedication and inspiration to the lovers of Classical Carnatic Music. It has over 500 students at various levels of competency. All the students are under the direct supervision of Mr. S.Hariharan who believes in imparting quality music education to his students. SSL offers courses in South Indian Classical Carnatic:- Keyboard, Veena, Mirdhangam, Tabla and Sangeetham.

The students are categorized under three levels of learning:

- Beginner's Level
- Junior or Intermediate level
- Senior or Advanced level

SSL has formalized Syllabus for the three levels.

The students would be awarded Certificates after successful completion of each course.

Formal Vocal and Veena training in South Indian Carnatic Music starts from ages six years onward.



We prepare students for Solo Concerts, Group songs, Musical ensemble &
Orchestras. We also encourage and prepare students to participate in Music festivals
arranged by musical and religious organizations. Adding to it, we also do presentations in big scale musical productions involving students and local musicians.

PS : All our newly registered SSL students normally are coached and guided to perform on stage within a year.
